SWAT Textfiles Editor is a FREE software program for manual calibration of SWAT models. This update (v. 2.0) includes improvement in the interface, addition of SWAT
parameters. A couple of parameters in the *.chm are added to the program. Parameters are grouped in different tabs
according to file extensions. The program will include more
parameters for manual calibration as needed in the future.
Caution: You may need .Net Framework 3.5 to run this program on your computer. It is not guaranteed that this program will work on a mac computer.

Notice the task bar message changes to "Running..." while the program runs and the work progress is displayed in a progress bar. The message changes to "Done..." when the process completes, which is displayed only a few seconds and label changes to "Ready" after then.

Instruction:
(0) Download program package (install.zip), unzip to a temporary folder, and install "setup.exe".
(1) Run "swat_files_editor" program from the start menu.

(2) Browse to the folder where SWAT text input files are located and click on OK button next to the browse button. You should see the list of subbasins in the left box of "Select Subbasins".

(3) Select one or multiple subbasins: Ctrl+left click, Shift+left click, or left click and drag for multiple files selection.
(4) Click "->" arrow to select highlighted subbasins. Selected subbasins will be listed in the box on the right.

(10) Put a new value in the box. This box is activated only when the check box associated with the parameter is checked. Notice that the message on the task bar (down-left corner) shows "Ready".

(12) All activities are recoreded in a log file and can be monitored while working with the program. Click on the "View log" button to open a log window.
(13) The log window shows the name of parameter and the change made for the parameter. All tasks are recorded sequentially unless either program is shut down or the path to swat folder is redefined.

(14) Click on "Exit" button to terminate the program. This command will also shut down the log window, so you need to copy the tasks done during the current session if you do not want to lose them.
*** Be careful **
- This program works only for SWAT2005 version.
- Always back up swat input files before using the editor program.

All changes are "over-written". Changes in those parameters in *.sol
and *.mgt files are accumulative if applied multiple times.

To avoid unexpected replacement of parameters, run the program for one
tab each time and "uncheck all" before conducting the next run.
