In my Masters research program, I had eveloped "LDRM" model with which one can estimate t
he distribution and recovery of Light Non-Aqueous Phase Liquids (LNAPLs) in groundwater. This model was developed for the American Petroleum Institute (API), and is being distributed to the public at API's website since 2007. (See API's website)
Using this model, one can estimate the distribution and amount of LNAPL that exists in a homogeneous or heterogeneous aquifer based on monitoring well data. The menu driven program lets users choose a remediation method such as vacuum enhanced wells, pumping wells, or trench wells and estimates the removal amount and efficiency.
